First class service received whilst purchasing and their excellent Aftersales team. I have experienced a few minor warranty defects during the first 9 months of ownership, which, Simon and Dan excelled themselves to rectify. I explained the issues which were mainly Bailey, attention to detail, production issues and without hesitation, Simon submitted the claim to Bailey and in the fullness of time, parts arrived, Camper booked in, and all the jobs were completed to my satisfaction in a timely fashion. These people are extremely helpful, genuine and honest. They have the right approach to sales, there when you need them and not pushy. I was met be Charlotte and spent half a day with Macky, both just a credit to the company. I drove a 500 miles round trip to buy our first Hymer campervan and although we’d done a huge amount of research and rented over the previous 6 months , Cranhams filled all the gaps in my knowledge.

This is in contrast to the Hymer dealers in Portsmouth and Stafford who simply over promise, under perform and simply lie their way through life.

Just purchased a used caravan from here, Part exchange. Very happy with the very pleasant and helpful staff I met. In particular, Beth was amazing and made us feel like valued customers, nothing was too much bother for her and she went out of her way to deal with any issue or concern we had. Also met the sakes manager and again could not fault his professionalism and helpfulness. Also the pleasant lady on reception who called me several times to confirm payments and dealt with queries.
I would have given 5 stars if it was not for some minor issues with missing keys on handover, which was resolved with swapping/replacement very quickly and battery not fitted properly.

We first met Luke at the October 2022 NEC Show and we found him extremely helpful and supportive, both at that time and ever since. We bought our caravan a couple of months later and he has always been there for us whatever the query or problem, often of our own making! This week we had a problem with our jockey wheel which got jammed while we were unhitching the caravan from the car. We couldn’t shift it but, on a Saturday when the service staff were not at work, Luke came down to the yard to help us and, in doing so, parked our ‘van using his little tractor. It was all done with a smile and without fuss or bother. Exceptional customer service. Many thanks to Cranham and especially to Luke.

We picked up our one year old van from Cameron Circus last week we got a great deal including a very good starter pack .
He took plenty of time with us showing how everything works even gave me a one to one on the motor mover he was a delight to deal with and I would highly recommend asking for him if you need a new van the rest of the team were equally helpful and chipped in when they were needed

Picked up our Carado 540 Pro two weeks ago. We love it. Been out a couple of times already and given it a good test. New to this so learning as we go! This is a long review, but bare with me!

We went along to Cranhams, just by chance on a chilly bank holiday Monday.
I knew exactly the van I wanted, layout wise, and I wasn’t going to budge. A Bailey Alicanto Grande, was my dream and it had to have certain specifics too!

Charlotte, came and had a chat with us, but unfortunately, there were only brand new caravans available. I was disappointed and was thinking of going when, Charlotte said she would go and check to see if anything had come in that she wasn’t aware of.

Charlotte came back and said that a Swift Accord 560 had come just in, and she thought we may like it. This was not what I wanted at all, and I felt disappointed, but hubby fell for it right away. Charlotte left us to chat. I went back and forth from the Bailey to the Swift.

I found myself changing my mind slightly, Charlotte popped back and confirmed a few things for us, which ticked every other box for me. She left us alone again and hubby went back outside to check on more of the technical aspects of the van, while I stayed inside.

By the time Charlotte returned, I announced that I was in love and had completely gone off my dream Bailey. So we are now the proud owners of the Swift. We have had two successful trips so far, and have definitely made the right choice.

Charlotte was not pushy, she wanted us to make the right choice, her knowledge and customer service was incredible. On collecting the van, it was gleaming and ready to go. Charlotte spent a couple of hours with us, going through everything and wanted us to be happy with everything before we set off on our first trip.

We have used this motorhome and caravan sales outlet since 1996. Having purchased 7x different caravans from them, had them serviced annually and sadly had one damage repaired. We also use their storage yard, as whilst our caravan will fit on our driveway we don’t like it and for insurance purposes it’s actually safer and cheaper in a secure yard.
They have always been fair to us and we have been happy with the overall service. So definitely recommended

Bought our caravan from here and had a pleasant experience tbh. No pushy salesman you either want the caravan or motorhome or you don’t. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the owners need to sort the toad out tovwhere the caravans and motorhomes are stored. Do a proper job and sort out them rather large pot holes.

Very happy with all the staff at Cranham Leisureslales Essex especially Paul . We had a Bailey Phoenix 420+ and wanted to upgrade to 440 Phoenix with a fixed bed. Paul gave us plenty of time to make our decision because we were selling a virtually new new van only months old . On the day we picked up the caravan the van was ready for inspection with everything working including running water which we have never had buying caravans before . On our first trip we had a bit of a problem with the jockey wheel after reporting it to Paul he has arranged for it to be checked. I would certainly recommend this company to our friends and family.

We’re really impressed with Cranham. We bought a 5year old Burstner Ixeo 586 in December, having been given a very fair price for our non-standard 10yr old Bessacarr. The van was well presented when we went to view it, especially compared to other dealers we had visited, and the price was very competitive. We dealt with both Connor and Paul during the purchase, and they were both very informative and helpful. When we collected the van, we were given a very thorough handover. We had a few issues with the van, including the table leg, all of which were sorted with no quibble or charge – in fact, they fitted a brand new table leg. It was all sorted in under 2 hours – thanks to Dan who did a great job. If we ever win the lottery, we’ll but from them again!

Just had my caravan serviced at Cranham Leisure (Hatfield Peverel)
From start to finish everything was carried out in a professional manner.
All staff were very helpful, and the practices put in place due to Covid 19 made sure that everyone was as safe as can be.
A special mention goes to Matthew Garrett who serviced my caravan for the care and attention he took, putting right a problem with the oven ignition and also pointing out that the fire extinguisher was due for replacement.

Update:
So just had a problem with self levelling in that the central pillars would not go up, which was a nightmare as we were away on holiday that day. One of the mechanics managed to take time out of hi very busy day to get me going. Simon the service manager managed to squeeze my van in when I got back and sorted the problem with no fuss and just put the claim in to the manufacturer.
So very happy with these guys at the moment – HIGHLY recommended.

Was a first time visitor to Cranham’s was met by Steve Robinson, he listened to our requirements and guided us to exactly what we wanted, he at no time pressured us just listened to my dribble,we came away with what we wanted, he was there throughout the transaction with just everything we asked, can’t thank him enough, any one who’s in the market for anything in leisure feel Safe in the knowledge that they are the business to trust.

Small village just outside of upminster. Various shops in two different areas. Avon road has 3 restaurants and a takeaway fish and chips shop and a pub the golden crane which does food off a fairly extensive menu. Opposite this area is upminster park estate which is served by the 248 bus which goes to romford from here. About 10 minutes walk down front lane is cranham village where their are many shops including a Tesco metro,a bakers a few restaurants and a pub called the plough which also serves lovely food and has many tv’s showing all main sports and has live entertainment on regular evenings. Further on down the road turn left at T junction you will find the jobbers rest and thatched house pubs which both have good food service

We bought our first caravan here. Steve one of the salesman was a great help in helping us to decide. When we collected the van he went through every thing with us even telling us to record some of the more complicated things on our phone so we could look back on things which we have done. We found we had a slight leak on the front window, we called them up they booked it in and it was fixed under warranty no fuss.

We are looking for a newer caravan, had excellent attention from the staff, very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful, would definitely recommend.

Great little shop. Sales staff could be a little more friendly and leave you alone when looking. Although this was not an overly serious issue.

Lots of good vans. 1 that I really want, but it is too big for the drive. Will keep looking. Malcolm was very helpful and honest.

There’s no hard sales pitching goes on here. If you want help you can get it, if you just want to look, that’s fine too. And if you want to buy or enquire they are very helpful. The shop is well stocked with everything you could need and the staff are equally helpful. I would very highly recommend Cranham @ Hatfield Peverel
