To ensure safe and easy travel, our team worked closely with Techmobility, a trusted local company specialising in mobility adaptations. The project included a full suite of modifications designed to make every journey secure and convenient.

Key Adaptations

Techmobility completed the following works on the Bailey Endeavour B64:

• Removal of the nearside (N/S) folding seat mechanism and associated boxwork, with a bespoke box manufactured to cover the fuse box.
• Removal of the side step inset at the N/S side door and levelling of the floor for easier access.
• Manufacture of a plate to mount rear wheelchair restraints and occupant seat belts securely, including a shoulder height fix for the seat belt.
• Creation of a bespoke front wheelchair restraint mounting plate, which attaches to the N/S front seat mounts without drilling into the vehicle floor.
• Supply of 8-foot multi-fold portable ramps with secure floor location points for safe boarding.

VAT Relief for Adapted Motorhomes

Thanks to the extensive level of adaptations, the customer was eligible for VAT relief under the HMRC scheme “zero-rated VAT supply of an adapted motor vehicle”. This scheme allows customers requiring mobility adaptations to purchase a motorhome with significant tax savings, making accessible travel more affordable.
